Namaste and Greetings from Nepal Ophthalmic Society

As I pen down my thoughts for the 27th NOSCON 2025, I am grateful to my vibrant and dynamic team of NOS Executives and the Scientific Team; and all the NOS members.

It gives me an immense pleasure to announce the forthcoming annual conference of NOS that is going to be held in Mechi Eye Hospital, Jhapa, Nepal. This is the third time Mechi Eye Hospital would be hosting such an international event of NOS. The first was in 11-12 February 2011 – NOSCON with 6th EROPHCON, the second in 2017 – NOSCON with 11th EROPHCON and now in 13, 14 and 15 November 2025. This is the 27th NOSCON being held in conjunction with 16th EROPHCON and Nepal Vitreo-Retina Society.

This year’s NOSCON promises to be a 3 day scientific extravaganza with:

1. Full day subspecialty day
2. First time session on LDP by NOS
3. First time Legal session – focused on employment contracts of ophthalmologists, consumer court and ethical practice
4. Instruction Courses

Scientific extravaganza will be equally matched by the entertainment - presidential dinner, gala dinner, concert, cultural program and other fun filled activities. We want to make this NOSCON, an unparalleled infotainment activity of NOS.

It will be a unique opportunity to up-grade our knowledge, share our experiences, make new friends and explore networking; and meet and greet the Who is Who Ophthalmology Field.

I invite the faculty, residents, and all members of NOS for the active participation in this prestigious CPD points accredited NOSCON meeting. I humbly request all to continue rendering suggestions for further improvisation in future scientific and general activities of NOS.
