Respected Teachers, Guests and Dear Colleagues
It is my immense pleasure to welcome you all in the XXVI Annual National Conference of Nepal Ophthalmic Society (NOSCON), which is going to be held in Kathmandu, Nepal from the 29th to 30th of November, 2024. The confeence will act as a unique opportunity to bring together all the members of NOS, all sub-speciality societies, other national and international guests and delegates for sharing their expertise and scientific works, learning, collaborations and networking.
Wider scientific contents of this conference includes invited guest lectures from renowned speakers, panel discussions, plenary sessions, free paper sessions, posters and hands on training which will benefit each participants. This conference will also be very useful for those with early carrier ophthalmologist and ophthalmology students in enhancing their knowledge and skills in ophthalmic procedures. It will definitely be a big support in fostering the research culture of the country in the field of ophthalmology. The exhibitions in the conference will enlighten everyone with the latest equipment and technologies in advancing the optimum patient care. The research findings presented in the conference will support in policy making and planning of intervention programs to reduce blindness in the community. Nepal is a country that is divided into three diverse geographical regions, including the highest mountains of the world. It is also very rich culturally and religiously with plenty of indigenous technologies, foods and arts. This conference will also be an opportunity to be acquainted with all these diverse areas of the country.
